Self Portrait - 2026
Hello, my name is Taira Creager.
I am a multimedia artist passionate about illustration, fiber arts, zines, printmaking, and stationery. In a world where things are becoming more grey and monotonous, I use these different mediums to create works that are fun, brightly colored, and invoke a sense of nostalgia. The ultimate goal of my art is to bring whimsy into people’s lives. The things that inspire my work include anime, comic arts, video games, fantasy, and the aesthetics of past decades.
I also enjoy making zines (small press publications). My zines often reflect on small moments of life or are filled with fun and cute illustrations.
Education:
I attended Santa Rosa Junior College and Sonoma State University to pursue a degree in art. In 2019, I received my B.A. in Studio Art with a concentration in Printmaking. I now live in the Portland metro area, where I continue my art practice.
